Carmen Murillo is an Associate Professor of Applied Economics at the Department of Economics of the University of Cantabria. Also, she is the director of the Language Center of the University of Cantabria.
As a visiting professor and researcher, she has held stays at the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium) and the Metropolitan University of Cardiff (UK). Her research areas are non-parametric technical efficiency and income distribution. She has published her research in several national and international journals such as Hacienda Pública, Agricultural Economics, and Journal of Operational Research, among others.
Dr. Murillo has defended her works in a great variety of national and international conferences. In addition, she has participated in various research projects funded by the Spanish Government. She received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of Valladolid (Spain). Later, she earned her Doctorate in Economics from University of Cantabria.
