Vanesa Jorda is an Associate Professor of Quantitative Methods at the Department of Economics of the University of Cantabria. She was visiting scholar at the University of Reading (UK), the University of Antwerp (Belgium), and the United Nations University (Finland).
Her research spans different aspects of the distribution of wellbeing, ranging from the univariate to the multivariate setting. Particularly interested in estimation with limited information, her work can also be positioned in the field of computational statistics. She has written a number of publications, primarily in peer-reviewed journals, including World Development, Review of Income and Wealth, Insurance: Mathematics and Economics, among others.
Dr. Jordá has participated in various research projects funded by the Spanish Government. She also received a bachelor’s degree in Economics (with honors) from the University of Cantabria and a master’s in Economics from University of the Basque Country, University of Cantabria, and University of Oviedo.
